What is an Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detector?

What is an Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detector? Basically, ultrasonic gas leak detector is also known as UGLD and is a non-centrifugal base detector. It detects ultrasound generated by pressurized gas escaping from leak points. Ultrasound is a pulse signal in the air, which is detected by the human ear through a microphone. The UGLD is designed to ignore audible noise and perceive low ultrasonic frequencies and only ultrasonic frequencies in the range of 25 kHz to 70 kHz. UGLD measures ultrasonic sound in decibels (dB). When a gas leak occurs within the range of the detector, the sound level will exceed the trigger level of the UGLD and generate an alarm. Conventional gas concentration base detectors become problematic in open ventilated areas where the gas is easily diluted and the gas moves away from the sensor. UGLD solves this problem by detecting the acoustic ultrasound produced by pressurized gas escaping from the leak.

Types of Submersible Pumps and its component

How many types of submersible pumps are there and what components are used in submersible pumps? Basically, there are various types of submersible pumps available in the market Deep well pump Bottom suction pump Stainless steel pump Oil filled pump Submersible utility pumps Water cooler pump Mixed and axial flow pumps The components of a submersible pump are as follows: Clamps Check the valve Submersible pump pressure switch torque arrester Tank tees Drain valve Relief valve Impeller safety rope Pump cable Sludge filter Inlet and outlet valves

What is a submersible pump?

What is a submersible pump? It is basically a centrifugal type pump. And instead of pulling water like normal cases, a submersible pump pushes water. It consists of a hermetically sealed motor attached to the pump body which helps in pushing the liquid to the surface. The impeller plates used in this pump are of backward curved type, which helps to push the water with great force. Its motor converts rotary motion into kinetic energy, and diffuser blades convert this kinetic energy into pressure energy.

What is an industrial robot?

What is an industrial robot? An industrial robot is basically a general-purpose, programmable machine with anthropomorphic or human-like characteristics. And designed for multi-functional operations to move materials, parts, tools or special equipment through variable programmed movements for the performance of various tasks. Generally speaking, robots are designed and controlled by a computer or similar device. The movements of the robot are controlled by a controller with the help of a program supervised by a computer. Thus, the programming feature allows robots to be used for various industrial operations.

What are the types of voltage references?

What are the types of voltage references? Types of voltage references is  Shunt voltage reference Series voltage reference Bandgap voltage reference Shunt voltage reference Basically shunt voltage references are two-terminal types designed to operate in parallel with their load over a specific current range. When not in use, the shunt removes enough current to achieve the correct output voltage while reducing the reference voltage drop. Under load, however, it will automatically decrease the sink current to maintain a constant throughput. And as a result, the shunt voltage reference will effectively regulate the output voltage by changing its sink current to accommodate load fluctuations. In practice, this approach is functionally equivalent to the one used in Zener diodes. Shunt voltage references in a small and simple PCB footprint demonstrate very good stability and accuracy over a wide range of variable current and load conditions. Moreover, as a negative voltage reference, a shunt

What is the voltage reference?

What is the voltage reference? Basically voltage references are electronic components, devices or circuits designed to provide a constant direct current output value or a constant voltage regardless of variations in other external variables. These may include total equipment load, power supply variations, temperature, humidity, elapsed time, and various other variables.

What is Variable Frequency Drive?

What is Variable Frequency Drive? Basically variable frequency drives are also called AC drives. And another name of AC drive is variable frequency drive as well as variable speed drive. A variable frequency drive is a type of motor controller that drives an electric motor by changing the frequency and voltage of its power supply. And the variable frequency drive also has the ability to control the ramp-up and ramp-down of the motor during start or stop respectively.

What are pressure sensing lines?

What are pressure sensing lines? Basically pressure sensing lines are also known as impulse lines. And this sensing line enables positioning of pressure transmitters away from the process station. This line minimizes the effect of temperature on transmitter performance and operation. Also high ambient or atmospheric temperatures will affect the transmitter's mechanical components and shorten the life of its solid-state electronics. Placing the pressure transmitter away from the process station will reduce the effects of vibration and make maintenance or replacement of the pressure transmitter easier.

What are the causes of errors in pressure measurement?

What are the causes of errors in pressure measurement?  Basically voids, blockages, leaks or freezing in the sensing lines can cause pressure measurement errors. And it is also affects the dynamic response of the pressure-sensing system.  Voids Basically air or gas trapped in the fluid sensing lines will cause false pressure readings and sluggish the response. Blockages   Clogging in sensing lines occurs when the sludge particles solidify when chemicals are used in water treatment and other impurities accumulate. They are also occur due to improper alignment of isolations and obstruction of valve equalization due to crimped sensing lines. Leakage   Basically pressure sensing lines present many possibilities for leakage. The sensing line consists of an equalizing valve, one or more root valves, and an isolation valve. Some other connection leakage problems may increase under high working pressure. Significant fluid in the sensing line indicates false pressure. Freezing   Basically Freez

What is dynamic pressure?

What is dynamic pressure?  Basically, dynamic pressure is the pressure of a fluid such as a gas or liquid, which is the transfer of momentum from the molecules to the object on which the pressure acts. Dynamic pressure due to motion of fluid particle is known as collisional pressure. And this pressure is used to determine the airspeed of the aircraft. Dynamic pressure measurements are performed in various fields such as combustion control, automotive industry, turbo machinery and combustion analysis in aerodynamics in the process industry and power plants.

What is lead or lead alloy sheath in cable?

What is lead or lead alloy sheath in cable?  Lead sheathing offers the best protection against oils and chemicals and is required where there is continuous contact with mud heavily contaminated with hydrocarbon material. Lead alloys are a lighter alternative to the chemical barrier offered by lead, frequently used in high vibration areas.

What is single or double layer of metal tape cable?

What is single or double layer of metal tape cable?  Essentially the metal tape is either steel or brass wrapped around the bedding covering the insulated core longitudinally. And this cable is somewhat less flexible than the SWA version while providing a tight covering seal on the core. Tapes provide mostly complete coverage. Steel tapes provide the best inductive protection while brass tapes are most commonly used for rodent protection.

What is the use of steel wire armouring?

What is the use of steel wire armouring?  Steel wire armoring (SWA) is used to provide significant resistance to mechanical impacts. SWA is made up of either round steel galvanized wires or flat steel galvanized wires wound around the bedding covering the insulated conductor.

Why glass-backed mica tape is used in fireproof cables?

Why glass-backed mica tape is used in fireproof cables?  Glass-backed mica tape is widely used in fireproof cables in general because of its exceptional performance as an insulation material under fire conditions.
